Summer is finally at the doorstep. I want to thank everyone for their support this first half year of my third term as Master. The second half is proving to be a ride for the ages as we have much work to do.
Thursday, June 4th will be our Annual Awards Night with several brothers receiving their 50 year pins and other service awards being presented to 5 thru 60 year members. We will also present Rainbow awards to the young ladies of Mountain Laurel Assembly #27 after they portray the Heritage Degree for the Lodge and guests.
It is now official. Thursday nights are Sequin-Level Lodge nights. The first and third are regular Stated Communications, The second is Masonic Education night and the fourth is the monthly meeting of your officers. Our deacons, Bros. Chuck 2.0 and Glenn have set up an interesting Masonic Education night that includes more than just ritual rehearsals and proficiency coaching. You should come and see what they have to offer.
The officers will now meet every 4th Thursday year round. The overhaul of our By-Laws have been approved by Grand Lodge and include Stated Communications the third Thursday in July and August. We will not go dark as many other Lodges do. Rather we are just dimming the lights a bit. I encourage all the brothers to come and join in fellowship and Masonic education in our fully air conditioned facility.
Through the summer months we will have a minimum of six tent raisings and take downs. We need tent handlers to assist at these events which raise money for your Lodge. Please check the Lodge calendar at www.sequin-level140.org for the dates and locations.
We raised three new Master Masons in May and with several petitions already in and the Entered Apprentice being portrayed on June 11th. We also have several EA’s and FC’s in our “Pipeline” that are in need of becoming proficient in order to pass through the next degree. All in all that should make another dozen raisings by the end of the year.
On July 14, 2009 we will be sponsoring the John Wheatley Classic Golf Tournament which will benefit CTCHIP and the Jimmy Fund. In addition, we will sponsor Team Suzy-Q with 10 riders as they compete in the Sturbridge-Provincetown PMC ride on August 1st. For more information, contact Jim Bailey (860-944-0129). Team Suzy-Q has been very active in supporting our charitable causes and we thank them very much for their efforts on our behalf.
The food? I must not forget the food. We will have baked stuffed chicken for the June 4th Awards Night. The July 4th barbecue with more info forthcoming is right on its’ heels. JW Steve Gorman and his committee has assembled a great menu for the coming months.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the CTCHIP program we’ll be running at the Mill Pond Extravaganza on July 18th. I look forward to seeing and greeting all of you at our events.
Fraternally yours,
PM Robert E. Bailey
Master

Welcome to our lodge website.
As Connecticut Freemasons we practice the tenants of our ancient craft...friendship, morality, brotherly love, relief and truth. We rehearse and perform from memory the teachings of Freemasonry passing on the age old moral lessons to less informed brethren that they may profit there from and better themselves, our community and each other. At our lodge we make Masons and here at our website we show you our history, activities and schedule of future events.
The Masonic Fraternity does not invite anyone to become a member, instead we wait patiently for the special man to knock on our door and seek admittance. Perhaps your visit here is that "knock" on our outer door. It is a mens organization...has affiliated associatings for women, girls and boys...and holds numerous family activities and gatherings through out the year.
Feel free to browse our site; investigate us and Freemasonry! See for yourself if what we are doing is of interest and benefit to you and your family. We hope this site interests you into becoming a better man and joining the greatest and largest Fraternity in the world.
Connecticut Freemasons: making a difference...sharing the secret...here and around the world.
